The regional officer system was introduced in the 2013/14 academic year to enable NaSTA to provide better support for stations on a more local level. Several regions were set up and upon affiliation each member station were assigned a region based on the geographical location and distance between their closest stations.
The designated NaSTA regions currently consist of: Scotland, North-East England, North England, East Midlands, West Midlands, Wales, London and South England. Each one of these regions has a desiccated volunteer who is there to offer local support and advice, organise networking events for stations in the area and encourage collaboration between the stations so that you can all learn from each other.
