The People’s Choice Awards are NaSTA’s second annual awards and take place in summer term. These awards are voted on by NaSTA stations and are a great end to the NaSTA year. They are hosted by a different station each year. The 2019 hosts are Forge and YSTV.

There are 9 award categories, which are detailed in the Entry Guide.

People’s Choice Awards 2019

What are the People’s Choice Awards?
They’re NaSTA’s annual summer awards. They consist of nine awards categories that you can enter, once each per station. The voting power lies with you! Once all entries have been submitted, there will a week-long voting period where each station can vote for their favourite entry in each award – hence ‘people’s choice’.

What are the categories?
The nine categories are Open, Live, Content Innovation, Technical Innovation, Visual Creativity & Quality, Best On-Screen Talent, Best Dramatic Performance, Un-Sung Hero and Station of the Year. For full information about the submission details and explanations of each category, check out the link at the end of the email.

When are the People’s Choice Awards?

They will be held on the 19th of October 2019 (Time TBC).

Can I attend the Awards?
Unlike NaSTA, there is no official conference. The awards are livestreamed, which saves you the cost of travelling anywhere!

When can I submit and vote for entries?
Submissions open at 09:00 on the 2nd September and close at 17:00 on 22nd September. In this period, you can apply for any of the nine categories until the final deadline. All entries will then be submitted via a google form (watch this space). Voting will take place from 30th September until 6th October.

How many times can I vote?
Voting is via STV, with each station having one voting opportunity per category, so vote wisely!
